  • Swedish Massage

Swedish massage is a full body massage with Grapeseed oil designed to reduce muscle tension, improving overall well-being. It has an effect on most of the body's systems, helping to relieve and relax the body through the stimulation of muscles. This massage can be tailor made to what you need from the treatment whether it be relaxing or energising.

  • Indian Head Massage

Indian Head massage is given with the client sitting in a specially designed ergonomic chair. It covers the head, neck, shoulders, arms, back and face. You will be fully clothed and hair oil may be used on the scalp if requested. This treatment can improve the condition of your skin and hair and give relief from stress and tension.

  • Shiatsu

Shiatsu is a form of massage which originated in Japan and developed from the same oriental traditions as acupuncture. The term ‘Shi-atsu’ literally translates as 'finger pressure' and techniques involve the application of pressure, stretches and rotations to access the body's energy systems.

Shiatsu is a deeply relaxing but energising complementary therapy which helps improve general wellbeing and is effective in reducing the symptoms of a wide variety of ailments. It works holistically so not only does it help relieve tension within the physical body but it can also help with psychological, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.
Receiving a Shiatsu treatment is generally a very relaxing and pleasant experience and regular Shiatsu is a wonderful way of maintaining your wellbeing and preventing that build-up of stress and tension that can often be damaging to health.

Treatments are usually carried out at floor level on a futon but Shiatsu techniques are also suited to a massage couch or chair so sessions can be adapted to suit most fitness levels. Receivers remain clothed during treatment so it’s best to wear loose clothing for your treatment.

The prime purpose of Sports Massage Therapy is to help alleviate the stress and tension which builds up in the body’s soft tissues during physical activity. Where minor injuries and lesions occur, due to overexertion and/or overuse, massage can break them down quickly and effectively. Above all, it can help prevent those niggling injuries that so often get in the way of performance and achievement, whether you are an athlete, ardent keep-fitter or a once a week jogger. This treatment is not just for the sports person: anyone can benefit from Sports Massage, including people in physically demanding jobs and those not quite so obvious (occupational, emotional and postural stress may produce many similar characteristics to sports injuries).

Sports Massage tends to be deeper and more intense. It is based on the various elements of Swedish massage and often incorporates a combination of other techniques involving stretching, compression, friction, toning, and trigger point response techniques.
